please help me with an answer

my daughter is pushing so hard her face is red - she is on soley BM and is crying i gave her - her tummy stuf but is there anything else this is the 1st time this has happend.

a little water. like 2 oz. of even pear juice and apple juice. they all make stools softer and can help. another thing that can help is putting a warm pack on her tummy. It helped my little kaden a few times.

***edited to say: if she is constipated, don't be alarmed if there is blood in her diaper. She might have torn something. It will heal and you can always put A&D ointment on too.

if she is constipated, use 1 oz. apple juice 2 oz. water, if that doesn't work try 1 1/2 oz. apple juice, 1 1/2 oz. water. that's what my daughter's pedi told me to do when she was about 2 months.

oh yeah, & plain water can help too if you don't have apple juice. try 3 oz.

hmm my sisters did that as babies when they got constipated try giving her baby prunes it help loosens the stool.. my mom fed it to them atleast 2 times a week to keep em from getting that way. or prune juice too.

This sounds really gross but when my little one is constipated I use a thermometer. If you insert it like you are going to take her temp the muscles down there contract and help push to poo out. Maybe kind of turn it in circles some too. It sounds really nasty but its a good way to help. My pedi also has told me to give her a little apple juice to help move it along.

2 teaspoons of karo syrup per 4 oz the juices never helped my baby go and this is the only thing that works for him.

I do this.  I wouldn't recommend juice unless directed by a pediatrician.  We always do the thermometer thing with Lydia.  i wouldn't do karo syrup unless under a dr.s orders either.
