re: What does your 10-month old eat?

I boilabout 3-5eggs(amount depending on if he is eating a snack or meal). After they are done, I peel the shells off. Then i cut the egg in half and take out the yolk and mash it up with a fork with a tiny bit of salt and sometimes a 1/2 teaspoon of lite mayo if the yolks are too dry.
ThenI salt and pepper the egg WHITES and I get to eat them.

oh and when you make mac n cheese. buy the off-brand easy mac. unless you are going to eat the rest of a big box of Macaroni by yourself. Plus they are perfectly portioned to equal a full meal. You might want to offer a stage 1 or 2 of veggies or fruit though if your child is a "big" eater if she isnt full after the easy mac.

I was just wanting to say that you should try the puffs and stuff like that again. I know it is scary that she almost choked but that's how they learn to eat. And the little puffs disolve pretty easily!

hello i am sorry i just noticed that this message was on here. i see that we are talking about what foods our children are eating. chloe will be 10 months on the 16th of this month. she still has NO teeth. this kid will eat anything we give her. for instance last night she had some french fries then she had some watermelon. tonight we went out for dinner and she had some chic nuggets. she will eat grits(which i think are nasty) sausage gravy, she helps me eat my blueberry bagels. she likes choc icecream and choc pudding. any type of bread and slice cheese. she loves pickles and lemons. now i still break all this stuff into really small pieces for her but most of it she will feed herself. she eats the puffs and a couple times she has chocked on them but that was only cause she tries putting four handfulls in her mouth at a time. so when i give them to her i only give her a couple pieces at a time now. chloe is still eating the stage 3 foods and will sometimes eat two of the jars at one time and then sometimes she will only eat half of one jar. but keep in mind that she also has to eat whatever we eat when we eat. she darn near pulled a bowl of choc icecream out of my hands one day cause i wasn't feeding her fast enough. she is feeding herself just not with a spoon yet i have not got brave enough to try that yet lol!!!!!! i do agree with hollsSN that you should give the puffs another try and only give her one for each hand at a time. so anyhow i hope this helps out some. lol!!!! have a great night.

sorry i forgot to say that i started giving her cereal when she was two weeks old. i was on the phone with my mother and she suggested maybe try giving her some dessert before you give her the other food. and she also said that as long as she is not under weight and she is eating something even if it is the same thing everyday 7 dys a week she said she wouldn't worry. but that is just my mothers opinion and she has raised 3 kids. two of us are grown and the other one is 15yrs old.

If she isn't accostomed to eating solid foods I would take it slowly. She only has one tooth, and there really is no rush to get to table food. It has much more salt and other things added that babies don't need. Even though many babies eat the gerber graduates, they really are aimed for toddlers, so I don't think you should feel rushed... How she eats right now isn't a good indication of what she will eat like later.
Jamil eats all kinds of food now, but I'm going to tell you the things I started with, when he only had 2 or 4 (I can't remember)
If she is starting to get impatient, or fussy it is a good indication she is ready to move on though
Basically all these foods we're soft enough that I could squish them easily between my finger and thumb. (I would just boil them until they we're very tender)
At first he would just spit out whatever I gave him, so I would dip my spoon in either the puree or the yogurt and have one piece of the solid on there as well.
Diced Avacado, it's mushy enough
Banana
Beans
Carrots
Peas (I would squeeze them out of the skin...
Pasta
I either make box macaroni, and add some yellow fruit puree to it... (Makes me feel better, or I try to make mac and cheese from scratch, and I add the same yellow puree.. I also add some soft peas that are squished...
Jamil has never refused yogurt...
