need advice on baby shower

hello
i'm throwing my own baby shower .. because none of my husbands family has step up to the plant , and offerd to throw me one . and i live in michigan so i have no family here all of my family lives in TX and i can't afford to go down there right now ...... and if i don't have one i will be very upset about it . so i just took it in to my own hands and thrwoing myself one , i don't need them to help. and i'm notgoing to make them throw me one you know ....
my question is ....
i don't want anything big , just maybe food and some games,...some decoration , and a cake . Something simple and that doesn’t cost very much any tip on what i can do . I’m trying to keep it under $200 i never throw a baby shower before so i don't know how much it will cost to throw one ...

$200 doesnt go very far but maybe you can pull it off. You can get a cute cake at the grocery store, Albertsons and Stater Bros have good cakes. Decorations, you can do a party place, I go to Party City where Im from and you can get a few things you really dont need much. Games you can do off the internet. It can be done really cute and really cheap at the same time and you can still serve a lunch or something. Good Luck!

Our budget is $200-$300 for 40 people and we are doing well with it. It cost us $50 to reserve the shelter house, $50 for decorations, $35 for the cake, around $75 for food, $25 for favors. So we still have some $$ left to play with!

wow really , i only have about 9 -10 girls coming or maybe less , so if you can do it with that budget and have 40 i can do it then maybe for less . thank for sharing that with me.
