uggh, will I EVER heal?

posted 5th Jul
Im sure this has been poseted 1000 times, so here goes 1001...

Im 8 weeks PP, and im still not even CLOSE to being healed! I went for my 6 week 3 weeks ago tuesday and my dr wouldnt even touch me and said "In 2 weeks, it'll be muc better" and it's not! I've only lost one stitch out of 4. My friend had 32 and has almost lost them all. My dr wouldn't even consider releasing me for excersize or sex until 10 weeks. He said some BFing mothers heal slow. Is/ has anyone else taken a really long time to heal? I only have a small incision, but they used the suction vac thing and caused a lot of muscle tearing, so anyone else have the same problem?

I took very little time to heal, and with my second had a huge cut(baby had huge head and came out face first) and exclusively bfed.I did however have two sitz baths a day with epsom salts and kept the area very clean and dry.I bet that I was completely healed in two weeks, and could walk normally in two- three days.Sitz baths are the answer my friend!

my doc didnt even want to check me at my 6 week pp appt, and i dont have to go back for 6 months!

im not even sure how many stitches i had, but it took at least 5 weeks before they started to come out and about 6-1/2 and they were out. i did have sex, but i dont think i enjoyed it as much because i am not 100% healed yet. my baby is now 8 weeks 3 days... i am also pumping, so i guess that may be contributing to the extent of time its taking.

everyone is different, so be patient and take care of yourself- you may also wanna look into some supplements that help heal faster too.

My 1st was aweful. I had a deep episiotomy, lots of tearing & trauma from the forceps. Vacuum wasn't an option for me. I was still in alot of pain at 3 months & couldn't sit flat at work. I swear it does get better, but a traumatic delivery takes a long time. Just try to take it easy & let it all heal up right. Sitz baths reallt helped me alot.

I wonder what breastfeeding has to do with it.

So many people say it helps you heal faster...weird.
