Jack Meredith was born a couple of weeks early on June 23rd, 2008.
Here is the story of her Birthday....
Last Monday morning Chad and I headed to the doc not quite sure what was in store for us that day. He was unhappy with my labs and blood pressure and asked us if today sounded like a good birthday. We were just kind of like okay as we sat there in shock. Just a few hours later at 5:33 pm I became a Mommy to Jack Meredith Bishop. She is teeny tiny with a head full of dark hair just like me when I was born. She weighed in at 7lbs 5oz. and 19.5b inches long. I had to have a c-section and was completely okay with that. The spinal block was kind of scary to me because I could not move my anything from my chest down. She truly is a miracle baby because she had a huge knot in her umbilical cord that was about to cut off her entire food and blood supply. After Jack was taken out Chad left with her to go to the nursery. My doc had a hard time getting my uterus to quit bleeding and I started to panic a little bit. I started to get sick too, but I held it in. I HATED the spinal block. After surgery I was taken back to my room for recovery and Chad and the baby got to come in also.
It was great to finally hold my little skittle!
We are doing great now. I am still pretty sore from my incision, but overall I think I am kicking major booty! I am soooo in love with my little girl! One day she looks like me and the next her Daddy. She is a bit of a night owl, but gets better every night. We are so happy that she is a part of our lives. She has completed our little family.
After everything that we have been through with Chad's cancer and all, we feel so lucky to have her. Congrats to all of you mommies and soon to be mommies. There is no greater feeling of love like being a Mother!
