why do people call you when your in labor?

Yes I totally agree!!! I mean shit, in the middle of a contraction you cant talk. I had my boyfriend talk to everybody when they called. The only people I spoke to was my dad and sister.

haha, agreed..... or when people stay at the hospital the entire time you are there and you dont even get a second to pee or shower... or nurse! my FIL was there the entire time except when we were sleeping... we had to make up errends for him to run for us.

I think if its a close friend or family member, I would call just to wish them luck and let them know I'm thinking about them.. I wouldnt mind if someone close to me did the same.. but thats just me.

My husbands band was on tour when I had Maddox, and he kept calling...lol even being him I was annoyed!!

and the other thing is... why every single person inthef**ing city think it is ok to visit you when you just came home from the hospital, your getting used to the baby and healing for Christ's sake! and everyone thing they know why the baby is crying and telling you...you should do this,ar don't do that!

I just did it in front of God and everyone.  Ha ha.  Of course, Vince needed to eat every two hours, and he took over an hour to feed, so if people wanted to see us they were going to see tit.  I didn't worry about company.  I did what I wanted when I wanted, and they just had to deal with it.

Nobody called me.   Lol. And I loved people visiting me, to be honest.

I don't really agree. I have 6 brothers and sisters and 10 aunts and uncles. On top of that none of them live anywhere close to me. I am close to many of them and so they would call me too. I was just happy that they cared enough to call.....

Omg! I know, I am sooooo NOT looking forward to having everyone and their mother brother and sister there. I was talking to my hubby to be about that the other day. I don't want 80 people at my house right after getting home, and they will all want to coddle and maul my little one. NOT GONNA HAPPEN PEOPLE! I think maybe just his parents and brothersand sister, other than that everyone can wait til I am ready to have them over. Tough shit if they don't like it. My baby, my choice!

True but to hold a conversation for more than 10 minutes is over doing it.

ha, i went into labor early in the am, and called my friend over to reassure me that i was indeed in labor cause my husband had already left for work. An hour later i was on my way to the hospital and i swear it took the friend that i was originally with less than 5 minutes to let all 500 of my friends know that the baby was coming...i remember getting a call on the way to the hospital while i was in unbelievable pain...i answered and ripped her a new asshole...i couldnt believe it!!! non-the less it took her a few weeks to get over my rude response to her thoughtful phone call. So to make a long story short YES! dont call me while im in labor!
