re: Clear liquid from nipples?

It may be clear because not only do your boobs start producing colostrum but around this time they'll also produce an oil as well to protect and moisturise

I am 15 weeks pregnant and I have clear colostrum coming out. Is it suppose to be that early? I have had 1 child already, but I don't remember it coming this early. I think I am 15 weeks I haven't gotten to see an obgyn yet. We just got our insurance yeaterday.

Mine started around 15/16 weeks. Bahhh. But yeah. It's colostrum. It's rich in protein and it's before your milk comes in. =]

Well I know it's good. I have already had a baby but it never came this early for me.

It is completely normal to ask these questions being a first time mumma, it started happening for me for the first time around 23 weeks. if it is only a small amount, but enough to make you self concious just pick up some breast pads. Once you are further along and its increasing in the amount coming out then it is good to express, and you can actually store it, as it is extremely good for your bub. I am now 33 weeks and my obsteo told me at around 30 weeks to start expressing, if you dont it could cause early problems like mastitis in your boobs if you do not express it out - trust me very painful..... and it is great for bub so i started expressing every two days and i find my boobs leak less during the day by me doing that.

I have never been pregnant this far... And never heard of colostrum.... I'm 23 weeks and i just started having clear liquid come out of mine last week. Was looking every where for answers thanks so much everyone (:

Ok I'm reading that you ladies are 20-25 weeks pregnant but I'm only 12 weeks and I noticed the clear liquid started coming out an hour ago. Is that normal?

yup. completely 100% normal   Mine actually started coming out right around 12 weeks as well.

I'm sorry, I saw this and LMAO...non first timer. I always think its cute how freaked out some people can get about things. Guys and girls alike. #3 for me and I started at 6 weeks. Weird I know but that's how I knew I was preggo.

Now if at some point your boobs begin to ache, like they really hurt, a warm shower and a gentle massage of the boobies should relieve some of the aching.

Two days after we went home with my son, I was asleep on my back and awoke suddenly unable to freakin breathe. I went to get up and my boobs HURT!!! My milk had come in and I had freakin BOULDERS on my chest. I swear to God they were at least three to four times bigger than before.

It is possible to leak through your shirt now at this point. As others have said, get some pads and you shouldn't leak through your bra. I just wish someone had told me which direction to place them as I continued to leak through my shirt. I was wearing them backwards...lol I am 29 weeks and suddenly leaked from one boob today. Was just sitting there talking and I brushed my chest, felt a wet spot, yup...I had leaked. LOL

No worries ladies! All part of being pregnant!

OMG thank y'all so much! Even though I was freaked out by it, I kept squeezing my nipples to see if more was going to come out LOL...

Apparently there is! LMAO I just thought I was a heavy leaker or something. So when I finally asked my mom she laughed her butt off at me. Told me I was putting them in backwards. LOL Hey ya learn something new everyday!
