SIDS

Has anyone known anyone that lost a baby from SIDS. I am really starting to get so nervous making sure I am ready for when my little one comesinto this world and I noticed the pack n play I bought has a bassinett built in and it just doesnt seem very firm. It like sinks in in the middle and feels like it was just a piece of cardboard in the middle. AM I just being to paranoid?

I was worried about this with my baby also. As long as there isn't anything around where the baby sleeps that could suffocate them, they should be alright.

Jaedyn's P&P was her bed for about 5 weeks. We love it.

just to educate you mama, and give you a little more education and control over the sids situation (make you feel a lil better)....
people get sids so confused...due to the precautions the industry puts out.
Sids is not a "crib" accident or suffocationg. They are totally different things.
Sids is when the babys body shuts down for some reason on its very own. It is currently being linked to brain chemicals.

Definatly keep the babies sleep area safe though mama. A baby dieing of suffocation or of true sids...is still a baby dieing

Hi, I was also worried about sids and suffocation with my first and now my second but there is this wonderful monitor out there called and angel monitor. Check it out. I have one for both of them. Good luck!

It is an Angel Care Monitor to be exact. Look it up and do some research on it. It might help put you to ease.
