Ah!! I'm confused...

posted 4th Jul
Ok..I need some help on figuring out when I conceived (please bear with me). I just don't understand how periods and ovulation work 100%. Ok...I had a regular period Oct 21 2007. I had unprotected sex with my bf on Nov 4th. I was due for my period again on the 21st of Nov (I've always had perfect 28 day cycles)but instead I had some light bleeding on the 14th (a whole week before my period was due) that only lasted a few days (it ended on the 17th and I had unprotected sex that night) but I just assumed it was my period and went on. Well, December 14th AF didn't show so I took a test and it came back positive instantly so I went to the health department the next day and took a test there. Instantly there was a positive. The woman asked me my LMP and I told her the 14th of Nov and she said that the test came back too dark too quick for me to only be 4 weeks along, but went with that and gave me a due date of the 21st. I had an ultrasound when I was about 10 weeks along and they moved my due date up to the 14th of August +/- 14 days (but I don't think they were behind two weeks because the doctor said that I was definitely father than 10). I had an ultrasound at 17 weeks and he was measuring big and the same thing with the ultrasound I had at 21 weeks.

I got on a calculator online and put Oct 21st as my LMP and get a conception date of Nov 4th, but when I put Nov 14th in as my LMP I get a conception date of Nov 28th. So which would most likely be right?

**Thought I'd put a note that I'm not doing this to find out the father of my baby...just morbid curiousity. Any help would be great!

Thanks!

Lol at the chicken.....

Op... if your cycles are really regular I would go with Oct being the last period you had, especially if everything is measuring off. But that's just me.

im curious too and ive asked a million times and still cant get a straight answer - i however would like to know to determine the father of my child. i was single i slept with one guy early in november, another guy at the very end of november. once each. so i dont feel like im a total whore that doesnt know who the father is, just unlucky enough to have a confusing due date and period cycle. blah.

I hear ya there, and it happens, I'm sure there are plenty in the same boat, some just don't admit to it. My doctors keep switchin my dd between the 14th and the 24th , my LMP I believe was on Nov8, but pretty positive i conceived on Nov 24th.

I'm just trying to figure it out because I think I'm a little father along than what my due date says because I'm having stuf now that I didn't have until later on in both of my other pregnancies (and stuff I didnt' have at all). Jynefir: I hope everything works out for you. I wasn't trying to say that if you don't know who you baby's father is you're a whore....I just thought that maybe if I put that I'd get some more serious responses. (Just wanted to clarify.) There are some calculators online that if you put in your LMP it will tell you when you most likely conceived...but what I'm having problems with is do I count the bleeding I had in Nov. as a period becuase it wasn't normal.

There is no way to tell if it was a period or not... it could have been implantation bleeding.
