naming the child *vent*
posted 4th Jul
Ok so when I was pregnant with my daughter we had her name picked out before we had our scan at 20 weeks, I knew off the bat it was a girl.Morgan Rebecca, we loved the name Morgan and Rebecca was after my sister who died before she entered the world.
Now we're on baby number 2 and I can't find a name and I want to have the name picked out and ready so I can name the baby as soon as we find out. The scan is on July 9th so 5 days to choose, I'll be 22 weeks and 2 days.
Now I know I want the middle name Joy if it's a girl, my middle name is Jean after my mom's mom, so I wanted my mom's middle name to be given to my next daughter since my MIL didn't want Morgan to have it.
Although I'm 99.9% sure this baby is a boy, I still want to have a girls name picked out.
I love the name Samantha Joy Mentzer, but my name is Sarah Jean Mentzer so do I give the baby the same initals as me, I thought about changing the name to Samantha Alexus Joy Mentzer, but my first daughter only has one middle name is it really fair to give my second daughter two middle names. If I have a boy I wouldn't feel bad about him having two middle names.
If I have a boy I can't settle on a name I keep thinking up new ones, going back to old ones or trying to find a better name.
So far I've come up with.....
Boys....
Ryley James
Russell James
Christian James
Carter James
William James
William Ryley
Girls...
Samantha Joy
Samantha Alexus Joy
Alexus Joy
Courtney Joy
Rebecca Joy
Julie Joy
Roxi Joy
So why did I find picking my first childs name so easy yet this time I can't choose. Both hubby and I have large familys mine more so, so we don't want the baby to have the same name as anyone else.
My husband seems to think we'll pick a name in 5 days without talking about it.. He has a four day weekend, but I want to pick now and I don't want to go off on one at him over a baby name. Espically since we don't what we're having.
Sorry it's long and boring, thanks for reading though.

I found that the more I thought about it, the harder it was to come up with one. I ended up naming my son after my Brother that passed at birth. His name was Jonathon Michaels, and I named my son Jonathan Michael. I am not even Preg. yet, but I know I want to name my daughter Malia Chance, and if I have a boy, I want it to be Bryson Chance. My hubby hates them both tho Anyhow! The name will come to you! And when it does, you will know it~
