Happy fourth everyone!!! I was wondering when should my doctor begin to check if i'm dialating because up until now and I'm almost 36wks.all she has done is measure my belly and hear his heartbeat is this normal?? And also what is effaced???

they should check you around 37 weeks

Yep...most doctors don't check until at least 36 weeks. Effacing means your cervix is thinning out

35 to 37 weeks I've heard some even wait itll 38. Mine started at 35, a week earlier then planned, just cuz I was hsowign contractions on the NST.

some doctors wont check you unless you request it! They always asked me at my doctors if i wanted to be checked or not...and i think they started at 36 weeks.
