engaging?

so the past couple days my vaj jay jay has been feeling quite tender and sore, i'm kind of walking realli wide too as it's just way more comfortable instead of having it rub together. I'm hoping he's engaging but am not sure..? how long are they 'engadged' to your vaj jay jay?

In a first pregnancy I think at least 3 weeks or longer.

I to could be anywhere from a few hours to several weeks but typically with first pregnancies it's for a few weeks.

so how do you know when the baby is engaging?

When your doc tell you . LOL. Seriously, thats the only way to know. You may be able to feel the head if you put your fingers down there but that can cause infection. Otherwise you just have to ask your OB. Vaginal pain is totally normal though at pretty much any point in pregnancy. I didn't know I was engaged or dilated until my doctor checked me on Tuesday.
