hiccups

can my baby get them because i eat spicy food? it seems like everytime i eat something spicy, soon after he gets them. this is probably going to sound dumb, but i was just curious. and also, it is not bad when they get hiccups, right? 

i don't know about your first question but i do know that when your baby hiccups it's a good thing, that means there swallowing the amniotic fluid.

I don't know if the food you eat has anything to do with it, but I do know that hiccups just mean they are practicing breathing...it has something to do with the diaphragm (sp?) developing.
