um is she forgetting somethng...

ok so i am 7 months pregnant almost eight and my doc has only done one pap, i am just wondering do you girls still get checked throughout your pregnancy or is it only a couple times, cause the last three times she has only measured my belly and listened to the babies heartbeat and i thought when you reach 30 weeks you see your doctor more, i am only seing her once in july an then 1 in august and my son is due in september, am i paranoid or what do you think?

i havent had a pap yet and im 38 weeks !!

I only have had one pap so far other than the last appointment when i asked for her to check things out because I thought something was going on

i never had a pap smear, she;ll be doing a GBS test the next time if she hasn't done so already. stop pannicing

i kinda wanna ask but i am guessing if she isn't doing one then everything is fine but how does she know he's ok i dont even get anymore u/s

I had one.... hm.
I had one when I stopped seeing my regular doctor, and started seeing the delivering doctor. So that was around... 30 weeks.
OH. and I had one at the very beggining.

Are you measuring right on schedule? Mine knows I freak out about things and i'm measuring a week and a half behind, but she said if I'm still measuring behind next time I go in 2 weeks she will order another u/s to make sure he is growing right...

You are only going once a month, my doctor makes you come in every week for the last month. And I had a pap the first visit, I wonder why your doc doesn't see you that much.

yeah she said i was right at 29 cm

A pap should be one of the first tests you get... to make sure your "lady parts" are good and healthy...

You should ask about that... or google if I'm right...

Maybe she thinks everything is normal and she isn't worried about anything going wrong.. but you haven't had the gestational diabetis test yet?... sorry my spelling sucks

group be strep. it's just a swab of the vaginal and rectal areas. GBS is a bacteria that some woman have. it's completly harmless to adults but, can be risky if a baby gets in their eyes noes or mouth. IF you test + for it, you'll be given antibiotics while in labor. It's really nothing to worry about. I tested + w/my son and he's a happy energetic almost 4 year old. Just make sure she does the test your next apt.
