Birth Videos
posted 4th Jul
So ever since I watched someshow on TLC the other day where this woman gave birth, I've been watching birth videos on youtube. I can't really figure out why I watch them either. As the baby comes out I can barely look and get a not-so-great feeling in my stomach, but as soon as the little one is out and crying my eyes just swell up in tearsand I get so happy, lol.

I do it to. Curiosity gets the best of me sometimes. I try not to watch too much on tv, though. They always want to show the emergency c-sections and other deliveries with complications. It just makes me worry so much.

I used to watch them all the time with my first.. because I was planning a natural birth, however, that didn't work out for me and I was severely disappointed.. They always made me teary too..

I'm still doing research on different types of birth and whatnot. Not sure exactly what I'll do.
Ohhh I just found out you can see the baby from the outside of your stomach when he kicks!
So much to find out.

I used to get on you tube and look up birth videos all the time when I was pregnant. And then I would get all teary when the baby was born and the mom would hold it for the first time. Those damn pregnancy hormones. I would cry over everything!

Although it is scary (and painful), it is truly a miracle.... I always tear up at the end, too. Our bodies are amazing things... they create little people... perfect little people...

I've always been rather grossed out by the Baby Story and Labor and Delivery shows on tv but a few weeks ago I decided it was time to watch some videos online, see what to expect.
holy heck. the blood! the gore! the animalistic sounds! these raw and uncut tributes to motherhood leave me speechless and prone to clutching a pillow while whimpering in fear.
yes, the moment when the mom holds her baby for the first time gets me every time, but the moments up til then just send me into an absolute panic.
needless to say, I am getting the epidural!
