How do I get them to sleep in the same room?

I have a 18 month old boy and a 30 month old girl and I need them to sleep on the same bed in the same room..Well the were suppose to have a nap but they kept on playing and it resulted in the 18 month old falling off the bed. I put him to bed and then my daughter wanted to nap a hour later. I put her in the room and somehow he woke up and she didn't nap so I need ideas on how to get them to sleep. I really don't want to go through this again tonight. Any ideas? Oh and the reason they are in the same room is because we installed an AC in our room and I don't want the baby to get sick (I think she already did though)

Get them seperate beds for starters and then try putting the younger one to bed before the older one. And an a/c isn't going to make a baby sick. I have an a/c in my 15 month old's room and she's fine. I just make sure it's a comfortable temperature in there and not too cold.

We skipped the toddler bed milestone and they are in a Queen sized bed and we can't fit the twin size in there too.... so seperate beds are out of the question..

In that case I'd establish a clear bedtime routine for both children - whether oyou put them down at the same time or at different times just make it consistant.

ya ok I will keep trying to put them to bed at their regular times. They have a nap at 1 and go to sleep at 9 so hopefully today it won't be so bad.... Oh and I am in the process of getting them two mate beds or a bunk bed that can go into two seperate ones...

That's a much easier solution - I have been in your position with a queen bed and switched to mates beds and the problems with bedtime soon went away!

Yeh how come they have to have the same bed...(I'm not trying to be rude btw)...but when my friend got CPS called on her (false accusations) but she got in trouble because her kids don't have their own bed...I'm sure you have no reason to get CPS called on you but you never know....Also, I put my youngest to bed first an when she falls to bed I put my youngest to bed...but I think it's gonna be way too hard as long as they share a bed

OK so definitly talking my bf into buying beds for the kids. I sure hope it works!
