it's never "safe" anything is possible. But you take that risk with everything you do. Is it safe to drive? Is it safe to swim? etc...it mostly depends on your intelligence...aka your knowledge of shooting them off. If you're inexperienced I wouldn't reccomend it...and if you're experienced then you wouldn't be asking this question....so there you go...
Would I do it? No. Should you do it? Why not. I doubt you have a liscense to shoot off fireworks but neither did my grandfather and he did it every year until he passed away 2 years ago. If you are seriously asking if its safe to shoot off fireworks my answer is yes and no. Yes if you know what you are doing and have complete control of the situation. No if you don't know what you are doing and don't have 100% control. If you are asking if its safe for a pregnant woman to shoot off fireworks, probably not. But then again its not safe for pregnant women to do much of anything but sit on our butts. And then again, thats probably not even safe.
I opted to go see fire works instead of buying them but had i bought them i wouldnt be the one lighting them thats for sure, my luck id get dizzy and fall over or not be able to move away fast enough but this is just me. I say if you can get some one else to light them, let them do it. its not worth falling and hurting yourself.
