Thank you cards

Okay I have about 40 thank you cards to write. What did you all put on yours? Did you make them personal, or put the same thing on each one. Also, there were a few people that got me A LOT of small things. Should I write "Thank you for the burp cloths, onesies, pacifiers, bouncer, blanket, lamp, mobile..." or should I just write "thank you for all the wonderful gifts..."

i plan on putting something general in mine something like thank you for attending my shower and for all the wonderful gifts something alone those lines
