its getting really old

posted 4th Jul
Okay, there is a search button for a reason. I understand that a lot of people are going thru their first pregnancy but here's the deal. Its normal for your boobs to leak at any stage during pregnancy. Thats what they do. A mucous plug looks like some blew their nose in your underwear. IF you're bleeing call your doc, if you think you're having contraction call your doc. If you're leaking clear fluid call your doc. Google is your friend. In the past 2 days there have been like 20 posts about leaking from your boobs.   Sometimes one right after the other. How about reading those before you post a new topic about the same thing!

I agree with the google thing, I usually end up googling it and pasting the links for them.

On the other hand google isn't as good as asking someone who's been there sometimes.

It's a toss up for me, if it seems to redundant I ignore it

Well.... I think you're on the wrong website then.... Thats what great about this site, you can ask all the pre/post pregnancy questions you want without feeling like an idiot.... Plus most of the women on here are eager to share their advice. Whats the harm in asking questions you don't know the answer to?

I usually search first and if I don't get any good results or the answer I'm looking for then I start my own topic.

you, who only has 61 posts is telling me that this site is great? :woll: I've been here over a year noob. I know why this site is great. I also know that most people can use their common sense. There are other resources like google, or god forbid calling your OB when something is up.

Just wanted to add. I hate searching google and getting only Yahoo! Answers. They have some of the dumbest and worst responses I've ever seen.

and thats fantastic! I'm not trying to tell people not to post, but when the same topic is posted over and over and over and over then people need to read those posts and use search and google to get their own answers before they post the same thing 5 minutes later.

OR, if it really ticks ya off,
Just don't go and read the post titled "leaking boobs"
"bleeding"... etc..

I just post what I want too! If I have a question, I ask. I remember what it was like being prego for the first time. It's rough and it's nice to have people to listen. Sometimes you are nervous and just want to post and get responses instead of doing the search. I think if people don't want to respond to the previously answered posts, then don't. I dont' see any harm in people asking what they want.

I only switched to this site because the yahoo answers got old, if its so bad maybe you should switch as I did.... But I found they ALL ask the same monotonous questions. If its that annoying quit for a few days. Believe it or not there are still people that don't know how to research things and have found that this is the best way to get answers..... Plus its a way to socialize, which many pregnant women need.

I do agree with you to a certain degree.

but it is nice to ask other ppl who might have or are going through the same thing. It's nice to get different opinions and to chat about it.

But it does get annoying to see the same posts over and over again.

honestly its not even that it ticks me off. Its the fact that peole need to use their brains! If I was bleeding, the first thing I would do is call my doctor! Not get on BG and ask a whole bunch of people who don't have medical degrees if I should call my doctor lmao

Amen! Preach it sista! Also, learn to read the stickies in each forum before you post. Most, if not all, of the redundant questions (leaky boobs, pp bleeding, pregnancy symproms, mucous plug, when will I show, etc) are explained in them and no additional post for general info is required.

The whole noob thing really aggrivates me. I have been on here for like 2 years and only have like 2000 posts. I don't have time to sit on here all day. I wonder if I am still classified as one. I have been prego with most of the girls on here who have tons of posts. I don't know....I just say if you have a question ask it. If you don't want to respond, then don't. That's just me though.
