My baby has a.....

Rash on his face. Everyone keeps telling me that it is a heat rash but it seems like it keeps getting worse and worse. He is only 2 weeks and 3 days old so i dont know what to do. The doc office is closed for the next 3 days and he has an appt next friday but i dont want to wait that long. it is on his cheeks, upper eyelids, his chin and a little on his forhead. They are red for the most part but some of them have pus in them. Has anyones child have this and what have you done to help it?

Could it be baby acne? Try getting Cetaphil and rubbing a tiny bit of that on it. You can get it at Walgreens.

Sounds like infant acne.... Miley had it really bad from 3 weeks to 5 weeks. Her entire face was broke out, and it looked really painful. There's really nothing you can put on it, it just has to run its course......

I agree, sounds like baby acne.. Don't put anything on it, that will just irritate it and might make it worse..

My daughter's pediatrician recommended the Cetaphil. It did WONDERS.

Does it hurt the baby? He doesnt seem to be in pain but the again he cries just a little bit more than he has since he has gotten home from the hospital. It just kills me because it looks so bad.

Probably infant acne. I would doubt it would be a heat rash if it isn't anywhere else. Usually heat rash is where their clothes are, on their back/tummy, in creases, where heat gets trappedand different areas like that, not usually on the face.

Really?.. I have never dealt with it personally, but have always heard not to use anything on it..

Well then yeah it probably is infant acne. it is only on the face. i have chck his body everyday since it appeared to make sure it hasnt spread to other parts of the body.

As far as I know it doesn't hurt them. It just looks awful! My poor baby had it until I used the cetaphil and I was so relieved to see her beautiful face again!
