Weird chest pains...

So I used to get chest pains all of the time when I was working as a CNA. I think it was because of the stress level. Well, lately I've been getting these weird heart palpitations (idk if that's what it actually is, I'm just guessing). But it feels like my heart skips a beat and then a weird THUMP and it can hurt. And yesterday when I was driving home I could literally feel my heart TWITCHING. It was the most bizarre thing I have ever felt, and it scared me to death. Do any of you guys have any heart problems or know anyone with heart problems? I know anything wrong with your heart/brain is not something to take lightly. I'm really worried about it.

I've felt my heart skip a beat a couple times since I've been pregnant. I've heard that it's normal, but I would call your doctor just to see what they say. Better be safe than sorry...

It is soooo werid! I think i have gotten used to it tho...

The other day I was standing in the kitchen making something to eat and it did it really hard... strange...

My heart does that alot too, it skips and then the weird thump. I got so concerned about it at a certain point that I went to the doctors and they did X-rays of my chest and gave me a heart monitor for 24 hours and all that other stuff...Everything came out normal, they say I have a good and strong heart. My doctor told me that if it really bothers me or scares me she can put me on Beta Blockers, I think it's used for irregular heartbeats, and I guess it helps with anxiety too. But I'm used to it now and I guess there's nothing wrong with my heart! Oh, I also have hypothyroidism, and that can make your heart beat slower, I dunno about the skipping and thumping though.

Hmmm...Maybe it happens more than I realize. I guess I will just have to wait until my next dr's appointment.

My heart does that alot, and so far I've never been told that there's anything wrong with it......I agree that it is the oddest feeling!

that kinda happens to me. mine will beat really fast for a while tho. i think i have something but haven't gotten checked out for it because everytime i'm at the dr my heartbeat is normal.
