What this board is for

posted 15th Mar
There are so many repeat questions in our pregnancy issues forum, we thought it would make sense to start compiling a list of resources and discussions regarding the more common issues and complications that come up during pregnancy.

To start with we're going to open up with a few basics. Please, if you're going to start a new topic on this forum make sure it's truly NEW. Otherwise, we'll just end up with a clutter of issues too lengthy and disorganized to be helpful to other members here.

Feel free to post new relevant links in the respective threads as you find them... as well as inquiring or discussing your concerns about a given issue within the proper threads.

Thanks!

It would be nice if this site wasn't 75% teenagers.

I know what you mean, and they think they know everything and most of them are preg with their 1st child, how does that make them an expert!!!!! And they are very agumentative, is there a way we can get those rude people off here!!!!

Wait until they get hit in thebutt with the real world!Teen pregnancy is up since the early 90s. Sad...a path I wouldn't want to take.
Seems to me a lot of parents aren't talking to their kids about sex & consequences.

well ladies, this IS a pregnancy forum... and i see nothing wrong with pregnant PEOPLE being in a pregnancy forum.... no matter the age... maybe the older ladies are either computer illiterate... or too busy with their careers/ families to be on the internet all the time. And no, im not a teen... I just hate it when people dog on others.... thanks.

As argumentative as they are, don't you think the younger pregnant women are the ones who need to most guidance and patience? At least they're on here reading and learning, as I am. This is my first pregnancy as well.

No practical. Rude is the eye of the beholder. I don't see anything ruder about my statement. This board is 75% TEENAGERS. You don't see something wrong with that?

No it doesn't offend me. I think it is SAD. There is a differnce. I never said it made you a bad mother, or makes anyone a bad mother.
Everyone has different expectations out of life, personally mine didn't include babies until later. College, career & fun always were my top priority at that age.
Everyone is different.

Its not like I planned on having my daughter! I attend college, I work full time and I still get to have fun. Having a baby has not stopped my life at all! My daugther completes me! Sorry but its not a SAD thing!

It is even more sad (to ME)when they are younger than 18. I feel bad in the sense of whatsome younger parentsare missing. I respect anyone who can put those dreams, aspirations and good young fun on hold for many, many years.
