I have this one, the Evenflo Triumph Advance for my almost 3 year old and I LOVE it! http://www.target.com/Evenflo-Triumph-Advance-Convertible-Barley/dp/B000PD55OI/qid=1215189367/ref=br_1_7/602-5567458-6135000?ie=UTF8&node=3579961&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1 Sooo easy to adjust and tighten the straps and it'll work well with baby #2 when she gets here (I've tried it with BFF's tiny 7 mo old and she fit in there perfectly as well! I've seriously considered getting a second one so that DS won't have to give his up!

I actually do have a evenflo. And I don't know if I've put it in wrong or if thats the way it goes. But it's not the most secure thing out there. I'm going to take mine back; I don't feel safe putting my child in there.

Can't wait, if you don't think you've installed it tight enough, you can always take it to the police/fire station and they can check it for you. Also, there are car seat techs out there that check them too. Ours is super secure in the vehicle and I feel safer putting my kid in that than in ANY booster seat out there!

i have graco i think. I don't like the base. It seems more secure without the base. (it has slots to put the seatbealt over it).

and I dunno, do any of yours seem like its wiggly? the car we have has the new latch hinges or whatever and even with both that and the seatbelt, it seems a bit wiggly.

yeh
i think part of it is, they sit really straight, even when there "reclined" and im not sure if connor is stable enough to sit that way, but hes gettin to heavy for his infant carrier. another thing is, my little car lol.

that sounds like the infant carrier i have, and you may just not have the base tight enough, i had to have my husband help me tighten it coz im not strong enough.

Carseats can safely have up to 1" "wiggle room" (where if an adult pulls on it it'll move from side to side a bit, NOT wiggle around on it's own) but I prefer mine to not move at ALL. All you need to do is put a some pressure on the seat or base and tighten the straps (or seatbelt) all the way so that it has the snuggest fit possible. If you DO use the seatbelt and not the latch system, make sure you use the seatbelt anchor piece that's included, it'll make sure the belt stays as tight as it's supposed to.

ya the britax are big, I have a 4 runner with the one in there for my son and when my daughter goes front facing there wont be any room back there..( time for a bigger car i wish lol) but I will say is they are very safe my friend had gotten into a fiery 4 car crash in los angeles and the cops said the only thing that saved the kids lifes were the car seats.. they didnt have a scratch on them and 2 other people died in the wreck from the car that was behind hers... very sad ... or maybe take your son into the store and try him in different car seats

I have it and love it. The knobs are so easy to use. To me they are easier to use the the front adjust. It is so easy to install and to use love it. I have taken back 2 car seats untill I found this one.
