Who knows, they may have had to run an errand and thought their son would be responsible enough, apprently fcking not!  

They should also charge the teenagers parents. Obviously he wasn't mature enough to handle the responsibility, so they were ultimately responsible. They should lock up the whole family.

I don't know about all that now.. @ 16 years of age you pretty much have a good grasp of right and wrong.. Kids do dumb shit all the time no matter how well their parents have raised them.. While I've never put anyone else's life in jeopardy like that, I know I've done my fair share of stupid crap as a teen even tho' my parents taught me better..

This kid totally needs to be held accountable but putting his parents in jail too wouldn't make a whole lot of sense

Why did they replay the poor baby screaming over and over??!! Why wasn't the teen videotaping also arrested? Were there any injuries?? OMG, how guilty the parents of the baby must feel -- but how can you know that would happen either??

What about the baby? Is s/he okay? I want to know more about the critter...

I also feel like I should add that all teen boys aren't bad. My baby brother is 13 and is so gentle and patient w/ his 3 month old nephew. My baby sister who is 12 on the other hand wants nothing to do w/ him and freaks out if he twitches.

I would kick that kids arse!!!!! The cry that the baby lets out churns my stomach... I'm searching my mind trying to see how that is entertainment, and I can find no answers!

The baby is okay. They didn't really say much else about the matter on the news though.

You're right, but my logic is that if the parents worry about getting locked up for their kids' actions, they'll try even harder to keep their kids in line. I remember as a kid thinking that if I did something bad, my parents would go to jail and I used to worry about how I'd feed myself if they weren't around. So although I did some stupid stuff, I also made sure that the things I did weren't too wild (e.g. I drank and I smoked but I never comitted any crimes). Sadly, I think many parents let their kids get away with too much.
