technically all you have to do is boil the nipples for 5 minutes once a week if you wish

I boiled the water then put the bottles in turn off the water and leave for 20 mins. Thats what the nurse at the hospital said to do.

My doctor said a rolling boil for 2-4 minutes.

I have to steralize everything every time though until his thrush goes away

i was thinkin anywhere between 2 to 5 minutes, hubbie said 20 minutes, but then again he also came up with the idea to pour WHISKEY in them, dump it out and then rinse, i SWEAR he is an idiot, and could NEVER be a single dad! Thanks girls!

i got a question about bottles. i dont use then often, like 2 times since she was born, but i dont wanna make my own post about it so ill just jack this one

on the dorections for formula it says to use boiled water(sterilised) but i read on a few websites you dont have to boil the water unless you get your water from a well. if you have a good source of water you can use strasught tap water. which do you ladies do?

I use the drop in too, but I also have some Venti airs that i use on occasion here at home, so i disasembled EVERYTHING and here goes,

Also with my drop ins, now without a dishwasher, they are gettin DINGY in the dishwater, even if i wash them seperate than the dishes(bad water) I assume its the same for them?

probably doesn't help for tonight but, you may want to think about keeping some Madela steamer bags handy. you put all your bottles in w/ 2oz of water and nuke it from 1min 30 seconds to 5 mins depending on your microwave. I do this every night because our water is so hard, if I put them through the dishwasher, I'd be buying new bottles ever week. They work great and each bag will work for 20 uses. you get a pack of 5 at Target for under 6.00
