when in the TTC section...

why are some ladies so snappy when you ask a question???

Someone's in a financial pinch for a fertility appt. I asked if they're financiall ready if they don't even have half the money for the appt...b/c it was spent on gas!

Hmm...you can either buy gas or go to a fertility appt for a baby. I would choose gas much like the DH did. So why jump all over me for asking a legit question about finances???

Oy vey. I don't think this was necessary. She's obviously upset and has been TTC for over 5 years, that's gotta be really tough. No one knows what her financial life is really like so I'm just going to leave it at that.

I kind of wondered how they would be able to afford fertility treatments if they had issues with the first appointment. That's spendy stuff that a lot of insurance companies won't cover. 

Meh, I wouldn't be too upset...a lot of people on this site get pretty snippy for no reason.

Okay, while I do get what you're saying and I do understand that you meant well and were just asking a question, I don't think that you needed to post about it.

I never said she can't be upset. Nor did I say she shouldn't be upset. But why snap at someone who knows nothing about you b/c they ask a question?

I'm not sure whyyou felt the need to post this? Really? I agree with Whit, not really necessary. If you were in her position, I almost bet you wouldn't have spent money on gas to go to the lake.

Her insurance is covering the cost. The 250 is her co pay

I get what you are saying. I saw that topic and wondered the same thing. I just didn't ask lol...

Why post this? What is the point? Why not keep it in the other thread?

I would never think of TTC if I couldn't even afford gas. Esp w/ having one child already. BUT, she's not me. And that's completely fine. I never said it wasn't. I just don't know why a question of "are you ready?" requires the response of "get out of here!" "I don't need your negativity!"

I was wondering the same...so I asked...and I got tarred and feathered almost!

As far as being snappy, our emotions are usually eally high. A lot of us TTC suffer depression and other such things.
Trust me, it isn't you, our friends, husbands and family usually cop the same snappy remarks over the stupidist things.
