tyra today

Did any of you watch The Tyra show today? It was about mothering issues, stay at home moms, working moms, breast feeding and so on. There was one part that really got me interested, though I did not get to watch the whole thing. It was the breast feeding part, this one lady breast fed her 2girls until they where 7 and 8. Another until her children told her they did not want to anymore at 6. What do you all think of this? Just curious.

i think its disgusting. ugh. My husbands mom breastfed her children until they were old enuff to come up to her pull down her shirt and suck. GROSS.

extended breastfeeding... It creeps me the fuck out seriously.

I plan on exlusivly breastfeeding for at least 6 months, upwards to a year if I can handle it ( idk what my work situation will be like, school, etc.) But past two and three? No.... If a kid can crawl in your lap, open your shirt and tell you they are hungry it's time to stop.

If you know what a boob is and you can ask for it you shouldn't be breastfeeding.

It really weirds me out too. I plan to breastfeed but its going to be just like a bottle, I will wean my baby from the breast just like a bottle fed baby is weaned from a bottle. And on the other issue, I HATED how the moms were critisizing (sp) each other because one choose to stay at home and the other did not.. To me its completely a personal decision and no mom is wrong for working and no mom is wrong for staying at home.. It's all about your situation and whatever works for you.. I couldnt believe they were trying to say one was better than the other.. IMO I support sahm's and working moms.. they're all wonderful and I dont think it should be debated.. that was so stupid

i personally think it is gross to breastfeed for that long but thats my opinion if other women want to do it thats them. im breastfeeding but only till he is 8 or 9 months.

I have. I always thought she was a little self centered, but it got worse. lol.

i think some people do that just get feeling out of it. i didnt know people still have breast milk 6,7,or 8 years AFTER they have baby. thats gross.. and yes she is very annoying. i rather be part of the maury show audience than hers

i'm watching the show right now and i personally am not for breast feeding i know it makes the baby healthy but i dont think i could do it. as for the woman breastfeeding their children until 7 and 8 years is disgusting and bad parenting on there part and the dadsare just as bad for letting it go on for yearsif i was to breastfeed it would be until 8 or 9 months
