37 week appt

had my appt today... no dialation yet however she said my cervix is extremely soft. Like 70% effaced...she said its easier to reach and that its opening up. She also told me she thought i would definatly go into labor on my own, before my due date...but its so hard for me not to just take it with a grain of salt because the baby is still gonna come whenever he wants regardless of how effaced or dialated i am...or what the drs says...
anyone else have similar experiences... and how long till you delivered?

I was stuck at 1 cm and 50 percent and my water broke. Everyone is different  
If they strip your membranes, it should speed things up (at least it did for me, and many others). Almost time!

This is my fourth baby all of my chidren wer due in June July and August, My first there was no labor pain to warn me I went to the movies when I came home my water broke (39 weeks), baby #2 no warning signs I did have some discomfort and was 2 cm at 36 weeks went was sent home 6 hours later my water broke, baby number three same thing no labor pains my water broke while taking a shower (38 weeks )I went to hospital I was 7cm dialtaled fully effaced!!! I have never heard of this happening to anyone else I know, I have been having strong Braxton hicks and bad back aches but at my last appointment my cervix was still closed.
So you can see how different it is with each pregnancy for everyone.
