for all moms who have had c-sections

posted 3rd Jul
I was wondering when that whole pulling and sore feeling went away.

I had my c-section on june 17th which was about 2 weeks ago. And i still have the pulling feeling and it feels really sore when i touch near it or around it.

I was also told by my doctor i was cut lower then normal. Whatever that mean. I kinda folds in when i sit. I also havent been taking it really easy like i probaly should.

Yeah you should probably take it easy.

I was sore for quite awhile, and I'm 8 months PP and still numb around my incision.

Everyones different, I think I stopped feeling sore about 2 weeks PP, but every now and again it does hurt if I lay a certain way and feels like its pulling apart. And I'm 2 months PP now.

**edited to add, you need to take it easy! I did the same thing and almost ripped my stitches a few times. So relax a bit and do things slowly so you can heal better.

The numbness will never go away.. it's comes along with the skin being opened.. My soreness and pulling went away after about 2 weeks.. is it infected? Have the doctor check it, did you get staples? Did you get them removed.. That's when my incision started to REALLY heal..

Its pretty much impossible for me to take it easy. I have to go back and forth from the hospital almost everyday, which requires me to walk a fair distance and even climb some stairs.

Oh i was hoping it wasnt like a long recovery or anything.

You should take it easy. If you don't you could open your self up where they stiched you inside. An mine folds too. I think everyone's might. I say you should fell much better in 4 or 6 weeks an they tell you to take it easy for 4 maybe 6 weeks.

Oh really? that sucks. I went to the doctor on tuesday. he said it was healing like it should but for me to take it easy. I had stables and stiches. I got the stables removed one week after my c-section. And my doctor told me to clean it with proxide everyday. Which ive been doing.

Are you keeping it dry? If you have any skin hanging over it you could put a pad on it to help it stay dry.. I used to do that, and wash it with soap and dry it up really good.. I hope it heals up soon!

My recovery was long I guess, compared to other healthy individuals.. I had pre-eclampsia and HELLP Syndrome.. I was sore for months.. and I never felt back to "normal" until I was probably close to a year PP.
