Good looking?

What emphasis do you put on a person's appearance?

Are you only attracted to people you find to be very good looking? Do you only have friends who are "good looking"? When you meet someone for the first time do you judge them based off of the way they look? What are some assumptions you make about a person who is dressed "badly" or "frumpy". Are there physical things that would turn you off about someone? Or is it more about the way people appear to take care of themselves? (Add anything you feel is related to the subject)

I'm always really interested in the way people think about appearance. (Which I will more than likely explain later in the post).

Nasty teeth turn me off! That's the first thing I look at!

I really dont care what people look like. At all. I will be friends with anyone as long as their personalities are awesome  

Now to be WITH someone, I do care. Im not saying they have to be Brad Pitt or Beckham, but I need to be attracted to them. Attraction is important in a relationship.

I have thought a lot of people weren't attractive, then I have gotten to know them, and become crazy for them...So...i like cleanliness...clean teeth, clean shaven, clean, trimmed fingernails. I cannot stand when someone is dirty..And fingernails and toenails must be cleaned and trimmed...It drives me crazy...I am constantly trimming mine and my kids' And if my husband wanted me to, i would probley do his too! LOL!!

I definitely understand where you're coming from. But do you mean like....how do I say this...Like if they have crowded teeth? Or a lot of spaces in their teeth?Something natural like that or if they don't brush and take care of them.

me too. Really looks are secondary to how i get along with someone and their personality and sense of humor, but seriously, I don't think I could be w/ someone who I wasn't somewhat attracted to. Teeth is the first thing I look at.

I don't care what you look like, as far as friends are concerned. If you are awesome to hang around then that is fine with me. As far as someone I am interested in, teeth and appearance are important to me. As far as teeth, they have to be clean, not sticking out like a horse or something, without all of those golds and crap people are putting on their teeth, no gaps, and their breath has to smell good and not like someone is in the back of their mouth shoveling poo. As far as appearance. Nicely dressed with their clothes ironed and not like he woke up and threw something on out of the dirty clothes hampers. They have to look pretty good to me, but their personality is the number one thing when I am talking to them. After all, looks fade away over time, but you are stuck with someone's personality for life. I'd rather be with a guy who looked all right and treated me like a queen....my husband....then a drop dead hunk who treated me like shit.

I think it's all subjective.

What is hot to one person...could completely freak out another.

I have a friend who loves feet. If their boyfriend doesn't have good feet, they aren't attracted to them. It's so odd to me, because I hate feet across the board. There is no such thing as "attractive feet" to me.

No, basically yellow, brown, nasty teeth. Like they don't brush them! I could deal with some crooked teeth, can't really help that. But hygeine, now that's something that they can help!

Hmmm I guess for everyone I don't really understand the teeth thing. I mean I could understand if they never brushed or flossed etc. But they can't control the fact that their parents gave them ugly teeth lol.

Same with people who "only" date blondes, it's not like they chose that color lol. Or people that have acne, or big ears, or small eyes, or big eyes. They can't help it.

Idk I guess it is all a preference but my brain doesn't work right or something lol.

The only thing that turns me off to a person is smell. Some one that doesn't shower. I hate that awful human (man) body odor. It makes me want to vomit. Crowded, crooked teeth are find, I don't have perfect teeth, I can understand that. If you have incisor? cavities and they are black, then I can't deal with that.

I always look at people and decidewhether I couldbe friendswith how much respect they have for themselves. I also find someones looks not as important than their personality.

I am SOOOO OCD about the way I smell. lol. I'm always afraid I'm going to be the "smelly" one in the room you know what I mean? After my showers I use deoderant like everywhere to make sure I don't sweat I put on smelly good lotion and spray my hair with this anti-frizz stuff that smells SO good. And then I put on my Aeropostale perfume lol.

I guess I am the weirdest person I have ever known when it comes to looks.

I'm not the type of person that ever says "OMG that guy is sooo hot". When my friends say that I'm like "oh really?". yeah, his face is symmetrical he has nice clothes etc, i don't see anything special about him lol. Idk, my boyfriend attracted me with his personality he is literally the funniest person ever, and the way he was all shy the day after we first kissed, and how he acted around other people. And his cute smile. idk, I'm really weird lol. When someone is genuine and a beautiful person inside I can't help but love EVERYTHING about them.
That's when I have an attraction with someone. I don't understand "that girl is pretty" but "that girl is ugly". Idk if this makes sense to anyone else lol.
