Nausea and diarrhea at 37 weeks

Hi, I'm 37 weeks + 4 days and about a week and a half ago there were two days that I woke up at the same time (around 4 am) with extreme nausea. I mean, it literally woke me up and the first time, I tried to control myself so I wouldn't throw up and grabbed some rubbing alcohol to smell to calm down the nausea and it just made me throw up. The next morning same thing happened but I just had my water ready and some crackers and it went away after about 30 minutes. I never had morning sickness during my pregnancy which I should mention is my first pregnancy. Anyway, after those two episodes, I started having diarrhea and still do. Is this normal? I just hope this means labor is coming soon because I'm tired. Anyone else experience something like this?

I dunno but I'm 34 weeks and having the same problems....

yeah someone totally just posted about this. apparently those are signs that labor is coming pretty soon. your body is clearing out the system. it usually happens a week or so before delivery - according to sources here on baby gaga!

hmm.. yers is mroe far off - maybe you just ate something wrong or caught some sickness from a coworker or something. hope u feel better soon.

well i am 40 weeks today and all of the sudden i have diarrhea too i herd that it is a sign of labor but i have had absolutly no contractions today! so i have no clue what is going on!! i am going to the dr in 2 hours and when i go i am asking suz i really would like to know if this means he is coming soon! i want him out i have an eviction notice and everything lol

and i have been constantly nausous for the past 3 weeks my dr said whenever i feel like this to eat even if i am stuff and feel like i am going to puke it back up she said it is my body telling me it needs more or somethingi dont see how but thats what she said so when you feel sick munch on something!!

I had the same thing happen to me with my son. I had the nausea and the diarreah and then an hour and a half later, he was born. Diareah isoneof the signs of labour is soon approaching or happening..

I'm 35 wks. tomm. and definitely have the same symptoms, i spend more time in the bathroom than anywhere else...ughhhhhh haha

I'm at 36 weeks and having a lot of sudden nausea also, but only in the mornings, sometimes I do throw up and sometimes I don't but I haven't had the diarrhea, I'm having the opposite problem.

I dunno...I've been sick to my stomach for the past couple days and I've been on the toilet more times than I can count. It mostly seems to happen really bad at night. I've been having bad BH for the past 3 or 4 days now. I tried calling my doctor but they wouldn't see me because its close to the holidays and I didn't have an appt.   I tried asking my mom, but she wouldn't listen and just told me to quit complaining.  I hope its just something I ate, but I can't get anyone to listen to me because I'm so far off from my due date.

thanks i hope its soon too i am so tierd off being fat lol and this bathroom thing is getting worse as the days go on(peeing that is!)

Thanks for the quick responses. I hope ya'll are right and this is a sign of labor. I've also been having bad menstrual like cramps this week and I mean bad, to the point where everytime I go pee, I expect to see pink or some kind of colored discharge. Ugh, I'm so tired of this. and now i'm just looking for natural ways to induce labor lol. This morning I had the fresh pineapple, mango and papaya. Let's hope that works, if not, we'll try some other method. This baby needs to come on out, everyone is anxious to meet her and I'm anxious to go back to sleeping on my stomach.

Amen I miss sleeping on my stomach! I've been having menstrual like cramps that I can feel in my back and lower front, but nothing is happening except for the nausea. Our due dates are close together maybe you will luck out good luck!

Ok I'm really over getting sick . Is there anything that can help ?
