Quoting ms.luker: The Vedic faith system, is known to stretch back to around 3000 BCE. Over its lifetime, it has incorporated ... [snip!] ... Soul Brahman prayer is focused on the personal forms of God, such Shiva, Vishnu, or Vishnu's avatars, Rama and Krishna.
Quoting Dev22: Um, so? lol I never said that Hindus didnt believe in GODS. But you know they believe in more than ... [snip!] ... So Under GOD, is a direct reference to judeo-chrisitan faith. Which still completely leaves on atheists and agnostics.I understand where you're coming from, but much of our society has been adapted to fit the atheist/agnostic viewpoints by totally eliminating any religious references. Why is it that this "religion" (the lack of belief) should be catered to more than any other religion? Since no one is forced to say the pledge, it is solely a matter of choice whether or not you wish to partake in that part of american culture that does not streamline with a lack of belief.
Quoting ms.luker: This is my Opinion everyone is entilted to their own opinionWhy does everyone feel the need to say this all of the time? We know it's your opinion otherwise you wouldn't be stating it. We have nothing against your opinion, this is D&D therefore we're going to debate. :]]

In the beginning of founding this government THEY decided to create the seperation of church and state. If anything we are always adapting and catering to Christians.

Quoting Carla Ann: I actually got in trouble when I was in highschool for sitting down during the pledge (mind you, this ... [snip!] ... they kept giving me detentions, thinking that would deter me. However, after almost a month of it...they finally gave up.My friend got in trouble for it as well in highschool, and that was only 2 years ago.

At the Sea-Tac airport in Seattle WA, they were sued and forced to take down ALL Christmas decorations even though the decorations on display had absolutely ZERO christian Christmas resemblance.. I'm talking Santa clause and christmas trees. Is this what we want?? A total lack of any holidays, family traditions, national recitations (aka the plege), just to satisfy those that wish to have any semblance of a god completely wiped out of this country?
