13 week appointment... not sure if its good or bad news...

I had my 13 weeks appt today. My exam looked great and he said i was the perfect size for 12/13 weeks. When they tried to find the baby's heartbeat they couldnt findit. He said hes not surprised since i have a tilted uterus, but if you know what ive been through with this pregnancy already, you understand why i was a little freaked. He said he would schedule me to come back in 2 weeks to check again, and if we couldnt find it THEN he'll do an ultrasound. I trust him. I KNOW hes a completely competent Dr., unlike the one at the hospital that gave me a wrong diagnosis last time... so im not sure if its a good appt or bad... we'll see in 2 weeks i guess...

But, they told me that was normal. Even when I was like 25 weeks, they had to push and use one hand to trap her, and the other with the doppler to get her heart beat.

Aw.. Good luck! Im sure everything things okay but I understand where you coming from! I would be a bit freaked myself.

Just a doppler...

good luck, they told me when i went at 12 weeks they they might not find it. it's hopefully just the positioning of the baby. good luck, and you'll need it, he/she is gonna be a stubborn one

OH, well, I have a tilted uterus too. I went for my first appt at 10 wks. We used an ultrasound to find his heartbeat. We heard it next on a doppler at 14 wks. I'm sure you're fine!

I am sure everything is fine. If your doc thought something was wrong then I am sure he would have addresses it right then. I had the same problem when I was preg with my daughter. I have some extra meat on my bones if ya know what I mean and they said that was prob why they couldn't find her heartbeat with the doppler until I was almost 16 weeks. More of me to love... Hang in therehoney - I am sure it will all work out just fine.
