Sailor

What do you guys think about Sailor as a name? Was reading gossip on People.com and noticed Christy Brinkley's daughter's name is Sailor. I kinda like it... kinda dont... it reminds me of names like Blue, Beau, Bird [all B names for some reason]. Her entire name is Sailor Lee Brinkley. With the right middle name, like Lee, does it work? Or is it just as weird as Apple and no one but a celeb could pull it off?

i don't think anyone can pull of naming their kid sailor. i guess they try to be original cause they're celebrities but it usually makes them look like dumbasses

I try to be unique with names. My daughter has a unique name I made, Kaevuh, and a traditional middle name, Dawn

It had to grow on me, but I love her name Kaevuh Dawn. I am thinking Jynessa Marie for my next baby girl.

Try a variation like Salora. Or spell it different, like Saylaura

wow.. i hadnt heard that name - i love it. i think Sailor is an awesome name.. and that it could go with a lot more names than Lee.

I know a little girl names Sailer and she is adorable! I love her name!

Can't you just imagine people whistling at your kid going "Heyyyy Sailor!"   It will get old really fast...

A lot of times the names celebs pick are gawd awful but people think their cute because you always hear/read their full names... Like Suri Cruise... Looks cute all together, but just Suri? It sounds like a little kid saying "Sorry" but without their 2 front teeth...

sorry, i think of the animae when i hear the name. Not a name i could hear w/out laughing. I'd go w/something else.

I met a little boy once named Sailor. He was a little prick...
the name obviously did not leave a good impression with me. I could see it on a little girl though. With the right personality, it could be pulled off.
