Terrified

I've been completely miserable for the last few weeks and so anxious and so desperate for labor to begin. I was awoken about two hours ago with some early contractions and now that it's looking very real, I'm terrified. With my first, I was so excited to go to the hospital and go through all of it...now that I know what's waiting for me down there, I'm feeling kind of nervous about the whole thing.
Also, my sister in law is the one who will watch my first born when I go to the hospital and my mother in law is going to coach me...but my in-laws really don't like me enough for me to feel comfortable calling them in the middle of the night.
I guess I'm posting because I'm so scared and so anxious and there really isn't anyone I can call right now to give a little support. Thanks Ladies!

Holy crap! You're due 2 days after me. Are we really that close? I feel like I've been living in oblivion...I still can't believe its summertime, let alone July.

I'm sorry about your in-law situation. That's why you've got BG though. There's a girl on here who posted throughout her entire labor for support! Gotta love that. Good luck to you - I'm sure all will go smoothly.

Why is your MIL going to be there with you if she's not supportive or doesn't really like you?

Believe it or not... I'm actually scared with this one, too! Which is odd, because I wasn't scared with my other three and they were all completely natural. My fear is based upon my age. I had my other three in my early twenties when I was young and in shape! Now I can barely walk and have had a tough pregnancy.

Back to you... I would rather go through labor alone than have someone there who didn't really care for me much.

She's supportive enough and she doesn't outwardly dislike me to the point of discomfort...we're just not close at all. She coached me through my first because I didn't realize, for whatever reason, that all my in laws (including their kids) didn't have the absolute right to be in the delivery room just because I was giving birth to their brother's child. But she helped me through it--tough love...I couldn't see myself getting through it without her. I don't have any family of my own nearby.

I was so much more nervous with my second, because I knew what to expect, however you are more efficient because you definately grasp the pushing better and know how to ride the contractions.About the in-law thing I am really sorry but maybe she cares for you more than you think and is just a reserved person.I don't thing she would be there for you if she didn't care for you.You so won't care once your little one is here-good luck mama!!
