Please Help Me..

posted 2nd Jul
I don't know if she's just not feeling good, if its the heat or constipation but Ari has been moody all day and for the last 3 hours shes been rather cranky.I can't put her down for more then 5 mins without her screaming.I can rock her and rock her but shes not calming down much or for longer then a few mins....She's normally a really good baby, and is almost always asleep by now for a good 5 hours or so. A friend said she could be starting to teeth, but I have no baby tylenol.Ari is 8 weeks old on friday. I don't know what to do for my baby, somebody please help me!?!

Colic

All you really can do is lay her on her tummy and pat her back. Try to make her as comfortable as you can and remember that it's only temporary and she's not in serious trouble.
Just try to not let it get to you.

Maybe it's gas? She's almost 2 months?.... Try laying her on her back & pumping her legs like she is riding a bicycle... Then try holding her, head in your hand, legs straddling your arm with her diaper near your elbow, if that makes sense. It's called the "colic hold" or something like that...
Also, try putting your legs together and put her on her tummy on your lap with her head at your knees and pat her little bottom

**edited to add
oh yea, also try laying her on her back & lifting her bottom up like baby crunches... if her tummy is hurting (like from gas) it helps to curl up, just curl & uncurl her...

I hope what I said makes sense

And remember, if it feels like she's making you angry & you can't handle it any more... put her in a safe place and take a moment to relax... don't let it get to you too much. love & kiss her...

It always makes me cry when Lily is crying

ok... my mil taught me this, lay her flat on her back... with your hands, rub her tummy downwards. do that for a few minutes, then try to sit on a chair or w.e. sit her in front of you, grab her legs and make her do squats but with heer butt in the air. try the warm bath first. they usually calm down after that. jazmine was the same. and it comes to the conclusion that she hated being dirty. remember take deep breathes and just take it easy

I read a book called "the happiest baby on the block" it's so awesome! Anyway, it says to swaddle them tightly give them a binky then cradle their head in your hands while they lay between the crack of your thighs (head between the knees) then gently move your legs side to side. It says to let their head move side to side gently (not allot don't shake her head!!!) something about reminding them of being in the womb. so give her a warm bath and try that!! It always always always worked for aubrey.

when my baby is cranky I lay her across my knees on her belly and bounce her up and down (hold her head) and pat her bottom... that usually puts her to sleep.... BTW .... it is not that beneficial to give baby medications.. if you can try to hold off ... if she is teething you might want to try teething rings or get a cold wash cloth for her to knaw on...

Check her little bottom for diaper rash... examine if you must.

If she has a rash, the best stuff to use is Dr. Smith's Diaper Rash stuff.... if it's not on the counter, ask the pharmacy & they'll have it back there.
