The starlight is pretty but the rainforest will probably keep the baby more entertained w/ its bright colors

i think the starlight one is ADORABLE...

I'm registered for the Fisher Price convertible swing... it turns into a infant rocker and a toddler chair... I love stuff I'll get a lot of use out of

The first one. 2 of my friends have the second one and both swings started to smoke so I would stay away from that one.

i have a pink starlight one.. it has like a disco ball type thing on it that shoots stars on the netting piece..plus i like it alot better than the other one i have because it runs off an outlet instead of having to buy batteries..so you save money on the batteries and the baby gets a light show..lol...

One of my friends had this one and she said it was too much stimulation for the baby. Then again every baby is different.

I would go for the rainforest because the baby will want to be entertained. They need to see that kind of color contrast, they actually "learn" from it. Its good for them. I personally have always chosen education and health over anything that was cute.

But have you seen the swings that are like 3 in 1? They are 1)swing 2) bouncer 3) carrier. So you have more space having the swing and bouncer in one and with the carrier you are able to take the baby wherever you want around the house. With my first child i had everything separate. With this new baby im looking to get a 3 in 1. I read reviews about them and everybody seems to like them.

I picked the rainforest because my son like the aquarium version that we had of that one so much I registered for this one with our daughter. Also the people at my shower would be more inclined to buy the cheaper one. And I always try to register for the cheaper version if I like both equally. Fyi though we did have to discount the fish that hang from the mobile type thing after a certain age cause he would reach up and hang on them while they were upposed to be spinning around. But not a big deal easily disconnectable (if thats a real word).
