Damn, Civilize People

I just had the wrost argument with my mother. Okay I was telling her about this show called Baby Borrorows or however you spell it. So she started to watch it. She came into my room and was like, "do u see them kids, there not even taking care of them kids" "and now they been giving toddlers" "they getting all mad" "and not doing what they need to be doing"

I was like okay, well how do u expect them to act. They never seen them kids a day in there life. They dont know how they act around them. They havent grown with them, so of course, its gon seem like shit to them. Then she was like, well I bet it'll change there mind about having kids. I said, this show is making it seem like having a child at a young age is all bad. Yes dont get me wrong, I know its not going to be easy at all. But thats how my mom is making it seem like Im saying.
You cant just throw a toddler at a teen and expect them to know what to do wit them, knowing they have not grown with them. Your probabily not getting me, but I just had to get this off my chest. I just hate it when somebody tries to chanhe my words up. Sometimes I just wanna call her a fucc'n bitch. You dont have to reply. "Venting"

I get what you're saying. Kinda like it was harsh of her to go off about the kids on the show when you're pregnant? Or that's prob how I woulda taken it. I've noticed that moms, or just other females with kids, sometimes REALLY try to press their ideas/opinions/etc onto first time moms. Gets annoying to say the least!

Yeah I know she wanted to relate it to me, but she didnt. Its like she dont think I know what its gonna be like, well I dont, but Ima hang in there, and do what I have to do for my child. I know its gonna be nights where I want to pull my hair out, but one thing Im not going to do, is give up.

Yeah, of course those kids can't act they way they would around their own kids, and of course it would be diff it was their baby that grew into a toddles, and honestly I have a harder time taking care of my friends kids than I do my own!

Of course, that is so true, yes that is not there own child and they cant do what they want to. and yes your going to do better with ur own child than with somebody else's child.

I completely understand where you are coming from when it comes to that show Baby Borrowers. I tried to watch all of it last night but I feel asleep towards the end, and watched half of it last week. It made me upset that some ofthe parents on that show were getting upset with the teens just because they were fustrated and didn't know what to do to make them sleep or stop crying or eat. They acted like they knew these kids, and that they were experienced parents. I can imagine being a parent at any age is hard, whether you are 13 or 40. One of my best friends in high school was 13 when she had her baby, and to this day I can say she is probably one of the best mother's I have ever seen. It takes patience, and effort, and that is not dictated by your age.

I enjoy watching the show, but I must say I agree with your opinion. Adults, when they become parents, are babies themselves. They grow and learn how to take care of their little one (or ones) as their child learns and grows themselves. You cant just throw an 11 month old at a 16 year old that has never met the child in their life and expect them to know how to take care of them. Even if the teen had expirience with younger children, each child is different.
