Baby shower.!

I just wanted to find out from you guys when the best time to have a baby shower is. My mom is thinking around 8 months, but my friends mom says that she & any1 she has known who has had their baby shower in their 8th month was miserable due to back pain,tiredness etc. My mom just dosnt want to start getting ready for the baby until the last minute incase something bad happens [sense i've been having so many complications]. So around what month do you guys think a baby shower would be okay.

i had mine when i was about29 weeksand then i had another one at 32 weeks

I'm having mine in 2 weeks.. I will be almost 31 weeks... I wanted to have mine a little earlier so if I didn't get something I needed I would have time to buy it

I'll be about 8 months at my shower, we didn't really think much about it just choose a time around that range. A website I went on said most people have their shower 6 weeks before their due date.
edit to add: I'll be 1 day shy of 32 weeks.

Yeah I think 8 months is fine. Im having mine when Im 9 months. I know pushing it. ButI want something to look forward to. I know I wont go into labor early, so Ill be okay. But yeah 8 months is fine.

I had mine at 36 weeks, and I would have been happier at it if it was around 7 months...big enough that I looked prego, but notso giant I was uncomfortable...

I will be 37 weeks at mine.. hopefully he doesn't come early   but I already have the big stuff I need.. like car seat,stroller..crib.. and
right now though I don't have room for baby stuff to just be sitting around taking up space....(like it already is-- as for the stuff i already have)

I had mine at 35 weeks but I say 7th or 8th month. I did fine with mine. but I almost had baby before babyshower, luckly they stopped it and kept her in longer

I'll be 36 weeks during my shower. I can't believe I'll be 36 weeks!  )

Yeah i hope he dosnt either   and if he does he'll be healthy!
I think i will wait until around 30 something weeks to start buying big stuff. Thanks

most people do it in their 7th. month. i'am doing mine until i'am in my 38th. week, which i think is very late. but better late then never. but i think the best time is in your 7th. month.

Thats what me & my mom are scared of. But thats good she stayed in there, its like she knew you needed more time haha  

I had mine at 35 weeks and it was great... just to be able to sit there and eat and open presents and watch everyone... I didn't have to get up for anything!! I felt like mine was at a great time

Everyone joked and said she wanted to come to her babyshower and party, and so bc we stopped her, she is being stubborn now and not letting me dialate, no more contractions, ect and now dr wants to induce 2 weeks early, which scares me bc I hear it can be more painful, so yeh she is punishing me now! lol
