Naturally Inducing yourself

posted 2nd Jul
ok so yes im getting induced but like any mother at the end of thier pregnancy (exspecially when they are extremely due) they want thier bubbly baby here in thier arms already, so if anyone knows of ways to naturally induce please feel free to let me know....
Things i have already tried:
-Sex, it seriously isnt working
-Spicy As Hell Food, just makes the already uncomfortable bowl moments more unbarable
-Walking, gives me some cramps but no baby ive been walking every night after dinner for a good two weeks now and still obviously nothing

Please don't use castor oil. You're pretty far now that it could cause your baby to have a bowel movement in utero and if they breathe that in, it could kill them.

Try having sex, walking, bouncing on an exercise ball.

Not always.... It either causes contractions, or diarehea.... If I was over due I'd probably try anything.

They say castor oil, 2 oz in some orange juice. Should produce bowel movement within 3 hours and start uterine contractions within 6. But they say it won't work unless your cervix is ready. Like you've already dialated and effaced some and the cervix has softened. I don't know if it works. Some people swear by it. I drank like a double dose of Milk of Magnesia and had mine within 2 days.

Unfortunately I have tried just about everything to induce naturally with my last 2 and as much as I would hate to crush your hopes, none of them worked. As my friend who used to teach childbirth classes. If you're body isn't ready, no induction methods, aside from the dr. aided ones, will make baby come. Good luck, I know it's hard waiting, especially when the due date has come and gone, but I promise it will be over soon. I was induced with both of my girls and all I can say is try to wait it out. I think it's better for you and baby if labor starts on it's own. OH, and congrats!!! You'll have your little one in your arms soon!

hmm i would keep trying the sex and spicy food, the spicy food worked for a lot of people i know and i had sex on monday and about 20 minutes later i started having contractions! it was the first time i've had contractions my entire pregnancy so i'm convinced it was from the sex.. try walking a lot and maybe running up and down the stairs? lol i don't know, letus know if anything works for you!

I've always heard and been told nothing will work unless the docs induce you until you are ready! Don't be in too much of a hurry baby will come out when he or she is ready! LABOR DUST to you!!!

I wouldn't try castor oil, can be dangerous for the baby. Walking and rotating your hips (kinda like you are hula hooping) will help but only if you are ready... I did it too, but it didn't work until after they stripped my membranes and it was EXACTLY my due date. LOL My other pregnancies I walked too and nada.   As frustrating as it is (I posted this about a millin times in that last week or two LOL) the baby will come when its ready not before.
