vaginal odor...contains tmi

okay, so I have had excess odor down there for a while, it started during my pregnancy; I started to notice it and it seems to be getting worse.
I have no other signs of any sort of infection and my pap last month was normal.
I did get the mirena on may 19th, but like I stated before this odor started before that.
I have never douched before but I am considering it and also using deoderant panty liners.
Any advice, input or suggestions?

Not to be gross but what does it smell like??

I started getting a little bit of something going on down there and I asked my doc and turns out I had a bacterial infection, they gave me two antibiotic pills to take then a seven day antibiotic cream to insert. Every since then I've been good.   I can't stand to feel dirty so I carry those playtex petals wipes in my purse. I'd ask ur OB again.

I was always afraid that I had an odor down there it was actually to the point where it was making me very queezy cause of how sensitive my smell was but my husband told me that it wasn't anything to be worried about cause it's not bad that he loves it which sounds so odd to me. my bit of relief was when my pap came back normal.

Too much douching gets rid of the good bacteria in your vagina and can cause infections and bad bacteria to grow. Your vagina naturally cleans itself.

There are all kinds of things it could be. Some women just have an odor or develop an odor. Check with your doc just in case.

i dont know any advise but im 20 weeks 4 days pregs and get the same....

What does it smell like? Also are you bleeding a lot on your mirena? I've been bleeding for 2 wks now.

its probably just damn hormones. i would say do NOT douche tho. not only does it remove certain good bacteria that ur body needs to help fight infections and stuff, but what if that little nozzle thing somehow blows air inside u that can force air in ur bloodstream and cause major problemos!! i'm not sure about the deoderant panty liners they seem like the safest bet of all of ur listed options... unless some1 has a good reason for not using them

You could get like Summers Eve stuff and see if that helps.

I think it smells sour...yuck I know.

But like I said before...no other signs of infection of anything...no discharge or anything.

I got it may 19th and yes I would bleed...then it would stop...we would have sex and I would start bleeding again  
It finally stopped last week...but I still wear a panty liner because I do spot a little blood now and then, not all the time.

Did you ask your dr when you were in there last? It could be some kind of infection. And douching isn't good.. it can also clean out the good bacteria which may make the smell worse in the end.

Okay thanks, just wondering b/c I got mine 3 weeks ago, and still bleeding. I wouldn't dousche. I think I would call my doc.
