I know we SAW the heartbeat at 7 weeks...it was just flickers on the screen, but I don't think you can actually hear it for a couple of weeks after that.

The heart doesnt start beating until 20-22 days AFTER conception - so that is sometimeat the end of the 5th or beginning of the 6th week. Maybe she means 3 weeks after conception? 2 weeks pre ovulation + 3 weeks pregnant = 5 weeks/heartbeat. If they dont see a heartbeat by 8 weeks and a second opinion (including hCG checks) usually the pregnancy isnt valid.

I saw my baby on the U/S at 8 weeks, and yes, in fact I Heard the heartbeat then

yea we SAW ours at 8 weeks and it was still hard to find at my appointment in the beginning of june ..i mustve bin 16 weeks or so

i had an emergancy ultrasound done at 6 weeks... and everyone was suprised that we were able to 'see' the heartbeat on the screen... the baby looked like a tiny circle... there is no way she could see much of anything before 6 weeks... let alone hear a heartbeat.... we were lucky to pick up the heartbeat using a doppler at my 10 week appointment.

you can find out with a blood test at 2 weeks but at that point you can only see a sac and you definately cant hear a heartbeat.

NO you cant lol. You havent even ovulated then! you have to ovulate before you conceive lol, and then it has to implant - which is typically only a week - few days before your period is due. After implantation it takes a day or so to release any hCG. An barely a visible sack then either, even with a transvaginal. Why type anything if you dont have a clue? The earliest a blood test could be positive is at 3 weeks and thats with very early implantation (4 dpo). Even then it would have to be a quantitative blood test that would pick up hCG anything over level 1 - most HPT are from level 50-125 which is typically not until 4 weeks!!
