Really worried now....Advice please!

I posted earlier about this pain that I've been having. It's in my lower right side like under my belly and I notice it mostly when I'm moving around...it doesn't really hurt when I sit still. The pain has been kinda intense for the past few days. I've been told by many on here and my sisters that it sounds like round ligament pain. I still worried though because this is my first pregnancy and I worry about EVERYTHING, but also because the pain is really sharp at times.

Anyway, in an effort to try to clear my head a bit, I called the doctor's office. Of course it was closed, so I called the OB triage at the hospital (they leave the number on the doctor's office answering machine so that you can call with any pregnancy related questions). I spoke to a resident who wasn't very pleasent, but she basically said that there's no way to know what my pain is without coming in to be seen. She wouldn't say if she thought it was serious or not. She just keep saying there's no way to know. Which, of course, I know that there's no way to know FOR SURE what it is, but she could have been a little more helpful than that! I asked if she thought I should come in or just wait until tomorrow and call my doctor and she said, "well if you call the office tomorrow they will probably send you here."

So now I'm really worried and don't know what to do. The problem is that I get off work in about 2 hours and then BF and I are supposed to go pick up his son about a half hour-hour away and then come back home. You cannot go directly to OB triage after 8 pm, so if I went tonight after we got back, I'd have to go to the ER which I REALLY don't want to do. BLAAH I don't know what to do. I haven't called BF yet because I don't want him to freak out (he knows I've been having this pain--the thinks I strained a muscle).

Any input, advice..please?

I have the same pains right in he lower ab and pelvic area...especially when I am walking or on my feet for a long time...I usually just relax all day with my feet up. Most of the time it goes away so I dont worry about it...but it is sharp a nd feels like my abs are pulling away from my body lol! But I would go get checked if you are worried about it.

The same thing happen to me. Everytime I would get up real quick or move real quick the sharp pain would just hit me. I talked to my doctor because I thought something was wrong aswell but they told me it was my ligament pain. I wouldnt worry to much. Alot of girls get that.

I think the reason she sounded vague was cuz they cant tell you to not to come in. (thats what my doc said). and if it doesnt hurt when you sit down then imo, its not something serious. if you are not bleeding, contracting, or throwing up you (most likely) should be fine. when is your next appt? if its soon, i would just wait. BUT if you honestly feel you will not be reassured till you go in, then ask your bf if maybe he could get his son himself and have a family member or a friend take you in. if nothing else, they will probably do an ultrasound so you get to see the baby!

I deal with the same thing but it's on my left side not my right side. I still dont know what it is and have been tentitive on going to the ER about it cause I really hate hospitals but it normally goes away in like 5 mins it just hurts when it hits...

I'm not bleeding or anything like that. I feel fine otherwise. The thing is, I have no clue what a contraction feels like and the doctor on the phone said they would hook me up to a monitor to make sure I wasn't contracting. I don't think this is contractions because it lasts for a while when it comes.

sounds like round ligement pains take some tylenol pm an rest (stay off your feet) you should be all rite

Aaawww.. I know. It's always better to be checked out when something concerns you..


It's a weird pain sometimes, but I am on number two, so I pretty much know what's "normal"..

You should definatly just relax. And when your getting up and moving around just don't move around so quick. Take your time. I sure things are alright.
