Bad Economy = More abortions?

hell no.... Why kill an innocent child?? its not there fault they are coming into the world.... i think only poor weak little girls are the only ones that have them.. i think if u open ur legs n do the deed then u suck it up n deal with the consequences, n if ur not ready look into adoption DONT KILL THE DANG CHILD... but thats jus my opinion..

Sadly I don't think this thread is going to be anything more than an abortion debate.

I could see how somebody could feel abortion is the only option for them. The economy is going to be hard on everything and it made me worry a little bit before I had my baby.

It makes sense that economic concerns would be a major proponent of abortions. However this is only one state with documented reasons. It does seem to me that citing the economy for choosing an abortion is kind of a fail safe though. I would think that BC would be cheaper and easier to come by than an abortion. JMO

I could see how the ecomnomy could have an affect on women choosing to not keep their pregnancies. IMO maybe if instead of the state putting 2.4 mil towards alternatives they put it towards birth control and educating girls about it they might have seen even more of a decrease.

Right birth control can be obtained cheaply at a planned parenthood. An abortion you would have to come up with 500 at once to have it.

my own sister had an abortion at 3 moths now she regrets everything she did.

I think it takes a strong woman to understand that bringing a child into the world when she is not able to support it emotionally and financially is not a good choice.

You do realize that if abortions are legal, they will still happen right? Its jus thta they will be unsafe and instead of just removing the fetus, they will end up killing the woman as well. Good Times.

I do think abortions wil go up in hard economic times. It makes sense. People realize that they cannot afford or provide for the child.

Honestly I just think it is the media's way of continually drawing attention to our economic woes. We all know the abortion card will get people riled up so, hey why not use it?!
