effects of an epidural after giving birth?

what kind of problems can you have if you get an epidural?

i am 4 week PP and my back is about to snap it hurts so bad and then this morning i had my husband rub it and where they put the thing in, he pushed down with his palm and i screamed bloody murder.. any one experienced this? or anything else please let me know i'm in tears right now

I have heard others complaining of back pain, but I didn't get any of it. I'm sorry you're feeling bad though!

I had the same problem. But mine ended up being my gallbladder. Does it hurt at the injection site or else where?

your still healing.. give it some time...

i didnt get an epi with my last, i did with my first, but i had more after pains from my IV last time. When they put the Demerol in my IV it burned like hell, and about 6 weeks later it was still hurting!!

thats wierd maybe ask your doc. why your are having pain..

Same thing, it was my Gall Bladder as well~ I had it removed a week after I had Jonathan~

my back hurts in the spot they put it in too. if feels like i really need to pop it but i cant, or like i have a disk out of place. ive been to the dr and they said there's no disks outta whack so not much i can do about it. it really sucks!

i think with my next baby im going to go au natural cuz the damn epi didnt work anyways. i still felt everything and it made my back sieze up in a charlie horse when they put the medicine in. grrrrr

Isn't that crazy, oh my god I couldn't breathe it hurt so bad. Even demerol didn't help.

My best friend had back pain like that after hers, plus horrible headaches for like a month after, and to this day(she had her epi over a year and 1/2 ago) she still can't turn her head quickly to the left without getting a shooting pain.

I am trying to go natural.

Oh well that sounds like your epi, just making sure it wasn't your gallbladder.

It hurt worse than labor! At least the labor pains would come and go. This pain was almost constant! What really sucked, was that I had a C section, then a week later, gall bladder removal~ Yeah... Talk about being sore!

I've not had one, but I read where they can cause nerve damage!! I hope you feel better..! maybe you should call your doctor!

i hope i feel better to i nearly dropped lily... good thing her pack and play is right next to me... yea my headache hasn't gone away and now it my stupid back, i called my husband and he was like oh ok... stupid him! i'm going to take motrin and maybe i'll feel better, i thought bio-freeze would help but all it did was made the area cold.
