Period?

I'm 10 weeks PP, and I had Mirena placed at my 6 week PP appointment. I bled lightly off and on for a week or so afterwards, then just had spotting. Three days or so ago, however, I started getting crampy and having heavier bleeding. Could this be my period returning? I breastfeed, so I thought that it wouldn't return for at least a few months PP.

I bled pretty heavy after I had the Mirena placed...for about a month. The doctors usually won't do anything unless the bleeding lasts more then 3 months unless you want it removed. The good news is I haven't bled since! I had mine placed at 6 months bled for that whole month and now i've had it for 5 months

It's possible. Keep an eye on how heavy it's getting and how long your having it for. If it lasts longer than your normal period or is heavier than normal, that's when I'd call your doc.
