im sure this question has been asked alot on here but i was looking around and i cant find anything similar but i was wondering do you have to loose your plug before you start having contraction or can you have contractions before ever losing your plug.

I never lost my plug until I was already in the hospital having tons of contractions

You can have contractions without losing your plug.

Some women do not lose the plug and some lose it a few weeks before due date and some lose it just before delivery. It varies.

I'm due January 9th, have 2 kids & live in Davenport, Iowa

Never lost mine beforehand & I was sure watching for it. I wouldn't be counting on it. It doesn't always dislodge prior to labor.

I'm 33 , had two kids and never even heard about the plug until I joined BG about 3 months ago?
