Quoting ♥ ky:“ i have a Lansinoh double electric pump and like it. it was about 150 dollars. i think they're basically the same as ameda pumps.”

They are...they're made by the same company, so the only difference is the Lansinoh is purple  ! I agree with the previous poster that said to research them. I spent hours online and called the lactation consultants at the hospital to get information.

I had originally bought a $50 Evenflo double pump, but the motor is not keeping up and I have to go back to school soon, so I had to look for a better one and it was between the Medela and the Ameda. The main reason I chose the Ameda was that it was light and easily portible (and could go into whatever bag I wanted) and the upgraded one came with a cooler, six storage bottles, and the bag to carry it all in. Since I'm going to be pumping at school for storage and to keep my supply up, the cooler, the price, and mainly the easier portability, is what made me choose the Ameda. But you may not need it for the same reasons, so the Medela may be better suited for you. Either way, good luck and happy shopping  !

i just meant only with medela brand, the more expensive pump medela brand is the best one. i said i didnt know anythign about other brands. also with medela if you're doing a double electric advanced basically all you have to do is pick out the bag you want it in because they all work the same.

Definitely go with the Medela Pump In Style, or PISAdvance. It just looks like a bag & everything is tucked away inside. Even if you open the case, everything is still stashed inside, so it is very discreet. The cooler is also inside, so you can store your milk in there without having to lug around an extra cooler or storing it in a fridge.

has the suction on yours given you any problems? sometimes i gotta play around with the diaphragm. i'm wondering if it may be time to replace some parts or something. i've only been using it for 7 weeks though and not always on a daily basis.
