baby shelby lee was 5 pounds 4 ozs she was breathing on her own and crying so far so good,
please keep praying that shelby will be ok, and i will update with anything she messages me with

just because when they checked the lungs yesterday the number was very low, and she is doing great now, but we all know with premies you dont know what will happen thats all, nothing is wrong and i am praying that nothing goes wrong, thats all

yea not terribly early at all, but just because her lung numbers were so low yesterday, they were worried, but shes a fighter and hopefuly she will continue to breath on her own

wow shes got a better start then most preemies that age, at least she can breathe on her own
japser needed the ventilator thingy(sp??) for a couple days

i remeber reading about him, hes a cutie,
i am new with the preemie terms, ailey was overdue so i have never had to know the terms or anything, so i am sorry if i dont get something right, but is the ventilator just like the oxygen mask thing?

no they actually have tubes and stuff up thier nose helping them breathe

i think he might have been able to breath on his own if they had given me the steroid shot like they were supposed to but the hospital i went to sucked!!!!!!
yeha it was really hard since he was in the nicu for 2 weeks
it was the longest hardest 2 weeks of my life
i couldnt stop crying, i kept seeing all the babies around him go home and he was still there hooked up to all the monitors
it really sucks to have to hold.feed/change your child with all the leads and cordsand then i was so scared i was going to break him or get him tangled up in them
