19 Years ago today

The big brother I once knew left me forever.

My brother at the tender age of 5 years old got his life cut short on this date 19 years ago.

Granted my brother is still alive, but he is unaware of anything, he is totally dependent upon others and will never remember the life he had, nor the family who loves him very much. Even though my brothers body still remains here on earth, his spirit left a long time ago.

I miss my brother very very much, and would do anything to have him with me as he was. I am thankful that I can still hug him and see him but it isn't like he even knows who I am to begin with.

Sorry this has just been on my mind all day. So thanks for just letting me share this. My mother and myself really dont' talk much about what happened, as it hurts her too much, so it makes it hard to really release the pain that sparks every year on this day, so thank you for letting me release a little.

I am so sorry honey. My FIL passed away two years ago yesterday. I know that its hard when you hit an anniversary like this! What happened with your brother if i may ask?

I'm sorry to hear that, I know it can be really rough on a family to have to go through that. But I am glad to see you are so strong about the situation.

My big brother killed himself August 2, 2007

I don't think about it because it hurts, and now you made me cry.   I'm not mad at you though. Just in denial sometimes, I guess. I really feel, right now, like I would rather forget I ever had a big brother.

aww. I'm sorry to hear that. just looking at the christmas picture just makes me cry, because i dont know what it is... it's just soooo touching. my heart goes out to you mama. Remeber things could always be worse, and for every day he is still on this earth you should be thankful and happy =)

He just looks so happy and innocent. God preserved his heart for the good.

My prayers are with your family and yourself. I'm very sorry your brother had to go through whatever he went through to be in the stage he is today.

im so sorry i cant even imagine how hard it is to have a family member there but not. i had a friend who had a car crash at 16 and now is like your brother. it was so hard being around him knowing who he really was and wondering if he still was that person but just couldnt tell us. i will be thinking of you and your brother today.

The biological father of both my brother and myself denied he was the father of my brother since day one. He was an abusive manipulative, alcoholic, drug addict that had no soul. He would do anything to rid my brother out of his life. Well he got his chance one day.

My mother, sperm donor, brother and myself lived with my grandparents for a short while. My mom was going to the store with my grandma and sperm donor was in the backyard washing the dogs. My mom told my brother to go tell sperm donor that we were going to the store and would be back shortly and to ask him if he needed anything.

My mom noticed that it was taking a very long time for my brother to come back in and so she went to get him thinking he just got side tracked. Well once she got to the back door she seen my brother laying face down in the pool. She ran outside and jumped in and grabbed him and was yelling for someone to call 911. Sperm donor just sat there, didn't move didn't help NOTHING.

When paramedics arrived they were getting ready to pronounce him dead but gave it one more attempt to revive him and was successful. It was too late though, he had suffered extensive brain damage. He was in a coma for months.

He now can't talk, walk, nothing. He lives his life day to day in a wheelchair unable to do anything. All thanks to a man who couldn't get over the fact that he was indeed the father to my brother.

now i think the sperm donor just needs to go to hell for that one.. I mean his own flesh and blood!? thats just, too much for words to explain..

aww hun I am very sorry for the loss of your brother.

It is hard to lose someone that you love dearly. It is unfortunate that your brother decided to do what he did.
